Queer Sci Fi<p>Linda reviews "Garbage" by Reese Morrison, The SPARK Files book 1:</p><p>"There are surprises as well as some violence by Humans First but that isn’t unusual since we humans often find any reason to hate: religion, being gay or abortion. We just need something to find and hate... This was a very interesting book. 4 stars."</p><p><a href="https://www.queeromanceink.com/2025/03/26/review-garbage-reese-morrison/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">queeromanceink.com/2025/03/26/</span><span class="invisible">review-garbage-reese-morrison/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/SciFi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SciFi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/ScienceFiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ScienceFiction</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/BookReview" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BookReview</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/GayRomance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GayRomance</span></a> @MMbookstodon <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/Gay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gay</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/LGBTQBookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LGBTQBookstodon</span></a> @LGBTQBookstodon @diversebooks <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bookstodon</span></a> @bookstodon <a href="https://mastodon.otherworldsink.com/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a></p>
Kirsty Darbyshire<p>The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin was rather outside my comfort zone for books and took me a while to get through. I found it rather uneven read with one of the three threads in the book taking a long time to twist into the rest of the story but it made sense in the end and I may have missed connections. I’ll probably read the next one sometime.</p><p><a href="https://nocto.com/books/the-fifth-season/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">nocto.com/books/the-fifth-seas</span><span class="invisible">on/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.lol/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a> <a href="https://social.lol/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bookstodon</span></a> <a href="https://social.lol/tags/bookreview" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bookreview</span></a></p>
Madeleine<p>Book review - Un ciel d’orage by Marie-Bernadette Dupuy</p><p>I enjoyed every page. </p><p>It was the first book in a four-part series. With these characters, we will experience the entire war. And honestly, I’m really curious to see what will happen next, which, in my opinion, is the best recommendation a book can have.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bookstodon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/bookreview" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bookreview</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/french" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>french</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://empressofhab.wordpress.com/2025/03/26/un-ciel-dorage-by-marie-bernadette-dupuy/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">empressofhab.wordpress.com/202</span><span class="invisible">5/03/26/un-ciel-dorage-by-marie-bernadette-dupuy/</span></a></p>

Madeleine<p>Cleopatra &amp; Julius is a very enjoyable book. Since this story is all too familiar, I was thrilled with the point of view used here. <br> By the way, the same series will include Salome and Magdala.
