Trout are catch and keep as the water will be too warm for them live through the summer. Didn't see any "risers" This pond also has bass, catch and release only.The nearest stream trout fishing is in the Driftless Area of IL, WI, & Iowa near Galena. Good trout water in north Wisconsin & U.P. Thin Crust Tavern CutYears ago, about mid-March, a brother in law and I headed out to fish old gravel pits. 1st time fishing that year. Ice had just gone out. I had a huge hit. A few cranks of the reel and a huge bass was at my feet. My brother in law got out a $1 bill (6"), mesuring the fish at 4 bills - 24". I could easily fit my hand and wrist in her mouth.
