Just installed #LibreOffice. So far so very good. Took about 2 minutes to download and install. Didn’t need a reboot. Looks intuitive. Opens MS Office documents and can save to their formats so sharing with others is straight forward.

And most importantly isn’t MS.

What’s not to like?

In an age when we can fly helicopters on Mars and land space rockets vertically back to earth, I cannot keep an image in place in a #LibreOffice writer document. It shows up resized in a different place once I bring the document into a master document.

I use #libreoffice to make all the forms at my job. They have MS Office installed on their computers, but I find it unusable. I've used LibreOffice since it was forked from OpenOffice.

J'essaie de faire un truc dans LibreOffice, je sais pas si c'est possible. Peut-être vous savez.

Je veux écrire "comme cité plus haut, page 10". Mais où 10 est une variable dont la valeur change si le texte que je cite finit page 8, 9, 11, 12 ou autre, si je supprime ou rajoute des choses dans mon fichier.

Here's a little question for my nerdy office #Linux users.

#Markdown can be version controlled with software like git. Is there a version control solution for #LibreOffice files? I mean, besides trying use git with .odt files directly?
