Detail of a young anole lizard on a hibiscus leaf I took in my yard today.
Surprised my pixel6a phone looks decent with macro-ish shots. The lens was probably 4 inches from the leaf. No processing besides cropping.

My first snake of 2025 is the eastern rat snake. I spotted it while walking through woods near a small pond last week.
For the first shot I wanted to capture a photo as it slid through the vegetation. The second capture is the obligatory forked tongue shot.
