Mark Squires<p>"First Label" is Raphael's way of saying "Reserve." In the big 2010 North Fork vintage, this Merlot delivers. (Long Island and Merlot--that's a thing!) It still shows fine depth, grip and length on the finish, and a classic medley of flavors, plus a touch of game. It evolves well. The fruit is mature (not dead), but the structure makes it vibrant as the complexity makes it interesting. 13.2%, under $40 in newer years (esp if you join their wine club). <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/wine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/merlot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>merlot</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/longisland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>longisland</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/newyork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>newyork</span></a></p>
