Sammi<p>I missed <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/MusiciansDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MusiciansDay</span></a> - so a day late here is my new release called "Painkiller". </p><p>The basics of this track were recorded from my hospital bed while recovering from major surgery. At the time I was on a cocktail of painkillers - hence the title. The track reflects my mental state at the time, coming in and out of consciousness.</p><p>There is one major theme that runs through the track - I couldn't get this out of my head - but it's fed through a variety of effects and distortion.</p><p>I had to do some mastering on the track as it was a bit of a sonic mess but hey what do you expect being high on painkillers?</p><p>What you hear is an OPZ providing the base track and Glo providing all the effects and distortion, recorded onto a Zoom H1 recorder - as I said all from the hospital bed.</p><p>Links to Bandcamp and Soundcloud are here (as well as streaming sites): </p><p><a href="https://samantha-j-smith.kit.com/landing" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">samantha-j-smith.kit.com/landi</span><span class="invisible">ng</span></a></p><p>There is also an accompanying video on MakerTube and YouTube (see links)</p><p><a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/experimentalmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>experimentalmusic</span></a> <br><a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/electronicmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>electronicmusic</span></a> <br><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/experimentalmusic" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>experimentalmusic</span></a></span> <br><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/electronicmusic" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>electronicmusic</span></a></span></p>
