More measles exposures... Mississauga, Canada.

"Peel Public Health (PPH) is investigating another confirmed case of measles in Mississauga, and warning about potential exposure at a hospital, the central library and two medical clinics.

In a March 18 news release, PPH said the case was confirmed on March 14 and that the public may have been exposed at the following locations:

Hazel McCallion Central Library on March 7 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Multi-Specialty Med Clinic (21 Queensway W, Mississauga) between March 8 from 7:03 p.m. and March 9 at 1 a.m.
Aboud Health Group (422 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W, Mississauga) on March 10 between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Credit Valley Hospital Emergency Room on March 11 between 10:30 a.m. and 7:55 p.m.

PPH advised anyone who was at these sites or thinks they have been exposed to the measles virus “to contact their health care provider, or if not available, Peel Public Health as soon as possible to get advice.”"

"Tuolumne County, CA – The Tuolumne County Public Health Department (TCPH) is currently investigating suspected cases of measles of two Tuolumne County residents. As part of the investigation, Summerville High School is coordinating closely with Public Health. Public Health officials are actively investigating the suspected cases but would like to proactively advise the public of potential risk of exposure to measles at Summerville High School between the dates of March 10, 2025 and March 11, 2025 and at Adventist Health Sonora Emergency Department during the late evening of March 15, 2025 and early morning of March 16, 2025.

This is an emerging situation, details are pending, and we will update the public as soon as further information is available."

"On Wednesday, a woman gave birth in a Lubbock, Texas, hospital in the middle of a deadly and fast-growing measles outbreak. Doctors didn’t realize until the young mother had been admitted and in labor that she was infected with the measles.

By that time, other new moms, newborn babies and their families at University Medical Center Children’s Hospital in Lubbock had unknowingly been exposed to the virus, considered one of the most contagious in the world. ..."
