Ian Kluft 🖥️📡<p>I watched as <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/Oregon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Oregon</span></a> SB566 <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/PermanentStandardTime" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PermanentStandardTime</span></a> bill apparently died. I didn't realize it was replaced by <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/SB1038" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SB1038</span></a> until that passed the Senate today. On to the House.</p><p>The new bill is weird. It'll go along with permanent Standard or Daylight time as long as both CA & WA adopt same in 10 years. Permanent DST would require an act of Congress first, since states aren't allowed to choose it. Excludes Mountain Time portion of Oregon in Malheur County. <a href="https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2025R1/Measures/Overview/SB1038" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz</span><span class="invisible">/2025R1/Measures/Overview/SB1038</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/DitchTheSwitch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DitchTheSwitch</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/PNW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PNW</span></a></p>
