FirdaEvery time I posted a photo of this large colony of northern gannets on Ile Bonaventure, off the coast of Percé in Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec, Canada, someone would comment about how stinky it was there. Funny thing is, I have no recollection whatsoever of it being stinky. All I remember is what a scorcher of a day it was, and what an amazing sight!We went on a two week road trip across Quebec, all the way to Îles de la Madeleine, for our tenth anniversary, almost ten years ago. It was the best road trip ever! Not only did we get to visit the largest colony of northern gannets in North America, but we also got to see a large pod of beluga whales in St. Lawrence River!
