Federico Hernandez<p>Garmin quo vadis? A Garmin Connect+ premium subscription? Really?</p><p>Makes you look cheap and greedy - considering the price of your more advanced watches. Luckily I don’t need the features you are now hiding behind the pay wall. Maybe the Performance Dashboards would be nice to have. And considering that Garmin Connect basically never gets an update those dashboards could have been released for free. And a useless AI? Haven’t you learned from the really bad Strava AI?</p><p>Seems DC Rainmaker is not impressed either.</p><p>Is the <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/enshitification" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>enshitification</span></a> now also reaching Garmin?</p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/6PEXU-TIKuo?si=lFp7uUlSsfgzjnVd" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtu.be/6PEXU-TIKuo?si=lFp7uU</span><span class="invisible">lSsfgzjnVd</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mountains.social/tags/garmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>garmin</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/trailrunning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>trailrunning</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/strava" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>strava</span></a></p>

moelholm🏃🏻‍♂️<p>Bringing out my next pair of Speedgoat 5s. Today I’ll bring them to work. Followed by a run later. Yes I also wear a pair of injinjis in them. “Don’t try new things in a race”, they [tm] say … well I’m close to the race 🙃but not quite there yet.</p><p>Side comment: have been using speedgoat 5s for years. Just want to see if there is something odd with this pair before the race. My old pair has a big hole on top … inviting for dirt. Bob<p>Injury update post MRI. Physio surprised to see no Haglund’s deformity. He’s pointing out the issue - multiple small tears in the Achilles. There’s a small cyst too and some associated bursitis, but this is fixable with no surgery. Some eccentric loading on the offending foot to stimulate collagen production to repair the tendon and I should be sorted in 3-4 months. Federico Hernandez<p>It happened 😜. Went to some stairs a kilometer from home. So 2 transport kilometers and one kilometer up and one down. 14 times up and down the stairs (195 steps, about 30m of EG and 70m length). For a total of 2730 steps, 400m of EG and 4km. </p><p>With the 9000 steps from this morning the day ends with 11730 stair steps and 2100m of EG.</p><p>I will choose these stairs for a continuous Niesen attempt. They are around 40%-42% incline (the closest to the Niesen stairs I can get here).</p><p>It will be 60 rounds for the 11700 stair steps. Resulting in 1800m of EG and 4.2km of ups (and 4.2km down.</p><p><a href="https://mountains.social/tags/trailrunning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>trailrunning</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/niesen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>niesen</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/treppenlauf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>treppenlauf</span></a></p>
