The stairwell of the Art Deco Hugo de Vries Centrum in Amsterdam with a half circle of very narrow windows in the wall on the landing. Some plants and display boards on nature stand on the landing. 'The Pati de les Dones' occupies the central zone of the CCCB area of the 'Casa de la Caritat de Barcelona'.
It is a large, open-air space, in which the historical buildings enter into dialogue with the modern glass façade that closes the courtyard along its northern side.

Photo en couleur de format vertical, présentant une perspective sur un port depuis une petite ruelle sous une belle lumière. La ruelle est bordée de maisons peintes en blanc avec des fenêtres à l'entourage de pierres de taille en granite. Une voûte également peinte en blanc joint les deux côtés de la ruelle en haut de la photo. Le ciel est partiellement nuageux au-dessus d'une mer légèrement agitée avec quelques moutons, en dehors des môles protégeant le port où la mer est plus calme.

Photo looking up at an angular honey-coloured stone building, at least eight storeys high, on a sunny day. In the middle of the wall a narrow, sharp extension sticks out, perhaps around a staircase, with, on every floor, windows either side of the point. There are also windows on either side as well as on the wall's chamfered edges. The whole face of the building, which would otherwise be shadowed towards the right, is dappled with green and white bands of light reflected from the windows of another building, probably behind the camera. Around the top is a bright blue sky.
