Jan Penfrat<p>A great example for <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/DigitalSovereignty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DigitalSovereignty</span></a> done right is the French city of <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://colter.social/@echirolles" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>echirolles</span></a></span> that not only signs declarations but also uses <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FOSS</span></a> in practice, like <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/ZorinOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ZorinOS</span></a>, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@bigbluebutton" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>bigbluebutton</span></a></span>, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@libreoffice" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>libreoffice</span></a></span>, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.xyz/@nextcloud" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>nextcloud</span></a></span> and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://framapiaf.org/@peertube" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>peertube</span></a></span>. </p><p>European cities, take note. </p><p>Especially those that are members of this coalition: <a href="https://citiesfordigitalrights.org/cities" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">citiesfordigitalrights.org/cit</span><span class="invisible">ies</span></a></p>
Mika<p>Lol, I was right into thinking there was something "off" about <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/ZorinOS" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ZorinOS</a> years ago when I was considering which <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Linux" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Linux</a> distro to migrate away from <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Windows" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Windows</a>. Shitty, <i>reactionary</i> decisions like this would turn me off so badly and seriously make me question their judgement in maintaining their distro. If they actually care about "privacy" and have issues with <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Firefox" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Firefox</a> (or rather, <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Mozilla" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Mozilla</a>), something like <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/LibreWolf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LibreWolf</a> would've been a more natural choice rather than moving to a <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Chromium" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Chromium</a> based browser, as if <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Google" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Google</a> needs a stronger dominance in their web presence - let alone <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Brave" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Brave</a><span>, one of the shadiest options of them all.<br><br></span>▶️ <a href="https://youtu.be/pektPYhM7pw" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/pektPYhM7pw</a><span><br><br>RE: </span><a href="https://infosec.exchange/users/mttaggart/statuses/114230776660812020" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://infosec.exchange/users/mttaggart/statuses/114230776660812020</a></p>
