Eine kleine Hütte, die einen Verkaufswagen umgibt, steht irgendwo in Travemünde. Dort werden fangfrische Fische und Räucherfisch verkauft. Im Inneren des Verkauswagens sind zwei junge Männer beschäftigt, Fisch für den Verkauf vorzubereiten. Zwei ältere Frauen stehen vor dem Verkaufswagen und verhandeln mit einem der beiden Männer über den Kauf von Räucherfisch.

Haus Frank.

The "Frank House" from Elzhausen is a farmhouse that was built in 1794 and is now part of the Hohenlohe Open-Air Museum in Wackershofen. It is an example of a medium-sized dwelling/stable house, as was typical in the Hohenlohe region of Germany.

The picture shows a traditional half-timbered house that was typical of the rural Hohenlohe region in Germany. The building has a steep pitched roof covered with red tiles. There is a small, wooden tower with a spire on the roof ridge. The living area is in the upper part of the house. There is a row of windows with small panes and green shutters. The façade here consists of a half-timbered framework with visible red wooden beams arranged in a regular pattern. The spaces in between are filled with light-colored plaster. In the lower part of the house is the stable area with three doors and small windows. The lower façade is made of solid sandstone masonry. In front of the house, a manure heap stretches the entire length of the house. There are large trees and other buildings on both sides of the house.

When Gayle and I married (48+years ago), it was not on our dance card to struggle against fascism, extreme hatred, anti-DEI, anti-intellectualism, extreme racism verging on hysteria ... in our retirement years. As we watch our carefully planed retirement fade, and attacks on SS, and on Democracy deepen, I wanted to find a happy place this morning. So much of our lives together is stored on film and print that have not been digitized that I settled for a trip to Hawaii' in 2001.

This at Waipi'o Valley and beach with our daughter to have fun and to explore the magnificent normal fault scarps - a happy memory.

Mexican Hat rock! I'm still trying to get a really good photo of it. One of these days things will line up with a low angle sun (I seem to always be there mid-day) and a pretty sky. I kind of like how in this shot the 'hat' stands out a bit due to the shadow on the hills in the background. Ooo, I just thought of an idea. I'll try shooting this under a full moon when I'm there later this month.

Since we are all being 'liberated' of the financial and emotional futures we had planned today, I thought a more pastoral scene might be in order. The plants at the Nature Sanctuary are awakening into a nice spring bloom. This is along the flowline trail that is actually the path of pipelines that feed water to the water plant for the northern part of the city.
