A real treat: On Sunday I was one of the lucky ones to attend a zoom workshop where Beth Johnson taught the Baby Grand Piano by Patricia Crawford. This is the result of a fast paced hour of folding, without additional refinement. A fun fold and a great model from the early seventies!

The Collapse of the Cylindrical Wedge

That is, a section of a cylinder where the planes intersecting are not parallel. The eye of the vortex appears to be one of the foci of the ellipse. Round objects added to stop the eye from normalizing the shape, as it *will* do, no matter how many times I've told it not to.

Pâques approche…

Voici un lapin créé par Yoo Tae Yong, un jeune plieur coréen dont je découvre à peine le travail.

Plié dans du papier "de test" d'OrigamiShop doublé d'une feuille de papier de soie. Carré de 30×30 cm.

Le papier reste épais, mais se plie avec beaucoup de douceur.

Le diagramme est disponible, au choix, dans Origami Works of Yoo Tae Yong ou le 21e recueil de la convention Tanteidan.

I was amazed by how 3-dimensional the little creature is.

Would love to revisit this one with better paper and under less time constraints.

I've always enjoyed toying around with "knight polygons" - polygons whose every edge is a chess knight's move.
So, it was only natural to use them for a floral pattern (a truncated square tiling), for a lily flower origami.
