Mountain rescue training on real terrain

The scenario: a climber was using an ascender on a rope and got injured to the extent of being unable to assist the rescuer

If you are on the belay station above the climber, just build 3:1 pulley system and pull them up

If you are below:
- get to the injured climbing on an ascender
- build a micro pulley out of some cord and two carabiniers, on your ascender
- lift the climber to release load from their ascender
- prepare the descender, clip into and transfer your bodyweight from your ascender
- use prussic to secure the rope below(!) the descender
- clip the injured climber to the descender, then remove their ascender
- lower them on the pulley to remove load from your ascender and remove it from the rope
- make a chest harness out of the cord
- release the prussic and descend

(not a manual, just the way I did it)

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Thursday expressed its deep concern for the safety of its nine crew members who have been besieged by the ISR forces in the city of Rafah, south of the #gaza strip, for five days.
