Those in Boorloo (Perth) Western Australia, please come along to our film screening this Saturday at 7pm of Desire Lines.

"An Iranian-American transman, Ahmad, searching for his place in history, finds more than a just link to the past in the archives. Drawing from first-person accounts, as well as fictionalized segments, filmmaker Jules Rosskam explores the lines of desire as they intersect with identity for many transmen.
Join us for a screening of Desire Lines. Followed Q&A featuring Nova Sobieralski senate candidate with the socialist alliance."

Some other trans reminders:

It's alright to decide not to change your pronouns, or to change it anytime.

It's alright to try names/pronouns to see which ones fit for you. I totally encourage this.

It's alright no matter when you discovered you were trans. As a child, in your 60s...

It's alright to be unsure, and if you need time.

You're trans enough. Nobody can take your identity away from you or know better than you do. :heart_trans:

transitioning is both the hardest thing i’ve ever done and the most worthwhile, but i never even would have started if it wasn’t for all the beautiful transfems i saw online being the badass girls i wished that i could be

there’s lots of different kinds of visibility and lots of different ways to be seen, and i guess i just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came before me and could never really know who they were helping and how

you saved lives by living your own to the fullest

and i’ll do my best to keep the fires burning for whoever’s coming next, because i owe everything to this :trans_fire:

Took my nonbinary partner out for a date (to a fancy wine tasting) tonight, and got effusively thanked by the host for offering a correction when they referred to said partner as "he". Felt weird until I remembered that it's the #TDoV and yeah, it actually is more important today.

Thanks to that host for caring. I tipped well and enjoyed the wine.

I hope everyone else had a day un-marred by phobic bullshit.

Oh, and here's an important reminder!
It doesn't make you less trans if you:

- don't change your name.

- can't/don't want to be on HRT.

- can't/don't want any surgery, or just some.

- don't feel gender dysphoria.

Don't let nobody tell you who you are and what to do with your body.

There's no wrong choice, the good one is to be yourself as much as you can to be happy.

Your body, your choice. Rooting for you and wishing you the best. :blobfox_heart_trans:

happy #tdov to the person who makes my life worth living :neocat_floof_flag_trans: aurora, thank you for always being there, since college to moving across the country and until now. i am so honored to have watched you become the person you are today, and it's even more special knowing all the weird adventures that it took to get to this point. i love our little life together, even if it's completely different than the one either of us imagined for ourselves. you make me want to be a better version of myself and i am so excited to be your wife

Trans Day of Visibility: These are extremely difficult times. Those of us who went through the anti-gay panics of the 1970s and 1980s should have some taste of what our trans and enby siblings are contending with today.

Let us all use today to commit to standing with them and against this reactionary tide. Even little efforts can make the environment around you more welcoming, like adding icons and trans flags to your profile and speaking up in public about what you stand for.

Take the time to read about pro-trans efforts in your area and look for opportunities to lend a hand. There are organizers everywhere, and often what they need most is solidarity and help.

There is no LGB without T. Period.
