I've taken a big step today! I've started college for dog training; something I'm very passionate about. The best part is that all my class stuff is online, so im able to do it when I have time, and I don't have to get out of bed to go to class. Of course, I still will be training with my little boy as often as I can. But! Cheers to a fresh start!

Social security was invented by Golden Age pirates who provided a share of plunder for colleagues disabled in, by or through their pirating and allowed them to remain with the crew for as long as they wished.

Meanwhile, disabled crew in the service of national navies were simply dumped at the next port to beg or starve.

If you are disabled, a friendship with you too often feels transactional to others who are abled.

You exchange your friendship with them. They exchange their friendship, plus the accommodations you need.

This feels uneven to them. You owe them. They are putting in extra effort and want to be compensated.

That is what it has felt like to me, anyway. I am too much effort with an unequal return on their investment.
