It seems increasingly obvious that #elonmusk needs to step away from #tesla, either with or without the encouragement of the Tesla board. And the sooner he does it, the better.

There are many ways that SpaceX and Starlink and Twitter benefit from Musk's Doge antics, from additional multi-billion dollar contracts, to removal of irritating regulations and oversight and cancellation of investigations. Yet Tesla is instead suffering from tariffs of metal imports, and the products simply don't appeal to Maga fans and Doge fans. Tesla's "high value, green energy products" just don't fit with Musk's new world view in the same way that Twitter does.

There are also some people who are upset with Doge's callous treatment of poor and vulnerable people, or of honest government workers, or with the rampant illegality and disdain for the constitution, and these people are increasingly mobilising to protest. And because Musk has made himself the chainsaw-wielding, shrieking mascot of contempt, these protests are forming around Tesla dealerships. They can't protest in a secure SpaceX or Starlink facility. From the polls, Musk and Doge are directly contributing to drastically reduced Tesla sales, lowering second-hand prices, falling stock values, and cancelled leases.

Musk has said it is only "with great difficulty" that he is spending time on non-Doge activities, which means one of two things will happen. Either Musk's Doge efforts are temporary and he returns to making cars, if that's _really_ what he wants to focus on now that the number of competitors has exploded. Or he steps away from Tesla, for his own and for Tesla's benefit, and concentrates on what really motivates him.

Sen. Mark Kelly's bold move to ditch his Tesla raises questions about brand loyalty. A personal disillusionment with Elon Musk over his controversial decisions has led Kelly to reconsider driving a car that represents values he cannot support. This decision highlights the impact of leadership on consumer choices and speaks to broader political and ethical concerns. Some good news this morning..

"A survey of over 100,000 Germans revealed that 94% won’t buy a Tesla vehicle. It doesn’t bode well for the automaker, whose sales had already been falling off a cliff in the important European market"

Ah yes. It's never the fault of the #strongman. It's always those who follow orders. Surely there isn't a crap ton of #judicial precedent regarding #organizedcrime, #economic crime, #war crimes, #cult crimes, etc that proves with finality that #ElonMusk is an idiot....oh wait.
