I had thought to play #LOTRO, but then remembered today is "housing is being opened" day...and as I don't really mind *which* neighbourhood I live in, nor *when* I move in, maybe not being in-game while loads of others are trying to sort those things...I'll just stay away.

I haven't heard back about my missing housing writs either. Guess LOTRO support are still way behind on tickets due to the transfers.

I'm not in a rush, but even an automated "your ticket's been passed on" would be nice.

The winds calmed down, sadly my pain did not so I've made little blog progress.

But I did have about 2½hrs in #LOTRO before the game started hogging RAM again. Currently, the easiest "fix" is for me to reboot the game from scratch, so I'll have to do that for now. I can't fix an EXE taking more RAM.

I looked into RAM limiting for one process on #Linux, but it looks pretty tricky and risky, so I won't tempt Fate.

Time to head off until Monday,
Take care all,

#StaySafe // #BeKind

I'm going to switch to playing something. If just the Internet goes down in these winds, I can do the image editing for my blog.

I haven't played #LOTRO for a couple of days due to the massive slow-down bug I had, which coincided with my own server bug/issue, so it was too much.

Going to play a bit and hope I don't have another slow-down.

[Cross-Platform] I am in the process of working through my part of the server set-up and transfer.

So you will likely see a "Critical Error" message on it right now. I'd rather you didn't check that, though. This is just an FYI and to say I'm working on it.

Thanks,

FJ

Something's been bugging my #LOTRO for a week or two. After a couple of hours playing, I get stuttering and FPS drops every split second.

After "losing" time I found it was just using more and more memory even when I was stood still in-game doing nothing. So, a memory leak (somewhere).

Being in #Linux I have to figure this out without customer services. I have a few workarounds to try, but otherwise, it's just "turn it off and turn it back on again" :bloblaugh:

Well, sleep time now.

Certainly now in #LOTRO, I'm just playing festivals until I've got outfit/mounts I quite like. I used to do all the wrappers, but I wouldn't get much actual questing done between events. That used to be fine, it's not now. I'm in a different phase of life.

And in FFXIV, I'm choosing to progress things differently. To play alts if I feel like it. To go back and complete older things. I usually like making gaming guides.

But, for rest purposes, they need to "work" for where I'm at mentally now.

Since the start of this year I've not felt on top of my health at all. My "normal pain levels" are generally higher, my "usual fatigue" is more tired.

I've found that I can't find the energy for the long-haul events in either #LOTRO or #FFXIV. I did a pretty poor effort on the Moogle event.

But it's affected my blogging and drawing and writing. I can't create content like others do, promote it as well, whatever. I'm an average artist.

I'm not others and maybe in the past I tried to be. (1/2)

[Cross-Platform] As I've said before, this week my blog will be moving servers.

The aim is for the server set-up to be complete on Wednesday 26th (UK Time) with the transition being on Thursday, if it's all working.

Please bear with me. Thank you.

Today, I had a really late start, as I needed more sleep, then had to do hoovering which triggered my Fibro pain like crazy.

I've managed to start this week's blog work but not much as I lost concentration and had an energy crash.

Wifey's got a Uni deadline tonight so I'm on proofreading duty. But I'm running #LOTRO Spring Fest until she needs me.

I was hoping to do drawing, but my neck pain is pretty bad, so might just stick with #gaming.

I hadn't paid the High Elf changes /any/ attention, despite actually liking and having head-RP for all of them.

So I took one of them to the barber. And I had not realised how many beautiful new hairstyles there are for High Elves.

Glirheryn walked in unsure and left with this pretty stunning style. Considering the limitations we think #LOTRO work with, they're doing well with player character models.

I had had to go so long not playing my main #LOTRO character that yesterday I totally ignored the festival and continued on with questing.

Admittedly, I used both the new cosmetic pet and mount /from/ Spring Festival but I was so glad to finally get to continue the [Epic] (the LOTRO equivalent of 'MSQ' in FF14).

I haven't made it to Umbar yet, but steadily going through King's Gondor. Which is AOK.

And, I can finally log into #LOTRO to actually play it. So I'm going to try to do that. Try because I have a tension headache from neck and shoulder pain.

Because this is Mastodon, where being honest won't negatively affect my posts being seen... I'm NOT in a good place mentally.

This is caused by various different things, which is how I've got to that "place", rather than one Big Thing.

So I'm just going to quietly play then quietly slip away.

Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

Well, I got to position 125 in the queue, then got booted out of the queue. Now, when I try to login I get "The game is currently down".

If this is what happens when #LOTRO is popular, either they need to move quicker on upgrades or I miss the game being less popular :blobcatfacepalm:

I get into FF14 quicker on day 1 of a new expansion than I have in LOTRO recently.

I'm making a pot of coffee and trying again. Working on this while I wait.👇
