Is anybody else struggling with S3 storage these past few days?
Almost all media files are "Preview not available" and my logs are full of lines like this:
WARN -- : Error storing media attachment: Failed to open TCP connection to mastodon-constellation.s3.af-south-1.amazonaws.com:443 (execution expired)
My config hasn't changed and I haven't even looked at my AWS console in weeks, so pretty certain that I haven't changed anything.
If you run a public server with special features such as extended post lengths, additional poll options, rich text etc, you might want to mention these in your server's description.
A lot of new people join big stock Mastodon servers and aren't sure about the differences between servers. Something very concrete like longer posts is a really good way of getting them thinking about moving.
It's not the only reason to move, but it's a good way to get their attention!

Not sure if this is true but I think it might be related to the popup autocompletes you get when typing in a hashtag or someone's username

It would be great if #mastodon would allow ctrl+enter (or cmd+enter on mac?) to suspend an account when typing in the custom note box.
Random power outages are the worst parts of #selfhosting ... Doubly so since my database and redis is on another server.

There is nothing more peak #mastoadmin than announcing version updates.
When I was using WordPress, I had a ActivityPub Profile at @kevin but since moving to Kirby, this no longer exists yet there's still traffic to the ActivityPub endpoints from Mastodon servers.
How could I best handle this? Could I deploy a GoToSocial or similar "small" instance to handle this "profile"?

Well, I don't have a solution to the problem, but... buildsnap is known to just hang sometimes when run under the QEMU emulator (amd64 -> arm64). For reasons! Ill-defined reasons. 
Commenting that line out of the Dockerfile and seeing what the result is.
