I'm scanning my grandma Esther's stuff for lots of reasons: to enjoy some old artifacts, to fill in the family tree, to gather clues to my family's character and by extension my own. Today though I hit the motherlode and found THE PHOTO—not just a nice snapshot, not just some telltale evidence, no, THE ONE PICTURE that explains this entire goddamn country right down to its toes.

South Dakota Badlands Beautiful Afternoon

Four guys from the Twin Cities, went to the SD badlands for an adventure.

The purpose of this trip was:
1. To get away from normal life and to get refreshed a little bit.
2. To hike.
3. To learn some new photography techniques.
4. And to capture a certain picture that I had in my minds eye.
