The third story in my Sherlock Holmes series has arrived.
Here's my Holmes, if you're curious: https://agoodtuckering.tumblr.com/tagged/cushing%20holmes
⸻
Following the events of the night prior, Sherlock Holmes makes a decision to call upon Miss Adler. There's no denying the truth of it all. The pair have already made their confessions.
A small teaser:
“He wasn’t wrong,” she added. “You /are/ a man, after all. And I am a woman.”
His head tilted, mind elsewhere as he said, “You aren’t /a woman/, Irene. You are /the Woman/.”

I have the majority of a third installment for my Sherlock Holmes (the books, of course) series done. I also have a few chapters for various stories finished that need editing. (Things for The Witcher, Star Wars, etc.) Not to be forgotten, I also have a story ready for publishing that's from Hammer Horror's Dracula universe. It's something I definitely want to post soon for @therivercrow, so that's good motivation.
So much to do, so little time.
My aunt is coming over today, though, and she'll be spending the night. Everything will have to be finished tomorrow or Sunday.
Three different eyeshadow palettes created today's look. I wanted to sparkle for tonight's reading of Proud Pink Sky!
@futurebird So tell me, she who knows, I've got some bugs coming up in the next section of my series of novellas. What's a good documentary on ant behaviour, possibly bees, for me to steal some cool bits for my alien bugs? My characters will be literally crawling into the nest, so I need a good primer. A lecture recorded at a university might also work.
#WritersCoffeeClub Mar 26: About which format or style choices are you the most uncertain?
Chapter length. I really have no idea what I'm doing with chapters. I'm considering not bothering with them and just stringing hundreds of scenes together.
The day we discovered
that future and past
were the same, that
rods were cones and
versa fame.
The moment turvy
topped out, quitters
tapped in, and the
healthiest morning
drink was gin.
We knew. Turning
pages don’t make
a story. In the moment
all the glory.

#WritersCoffeeClub March 25: Describe your workflow if it had to be 100% analog.
Write on paper. Write scenes as separate little units. Put scenes in file folders. Rearrange scenes in folders and fill in missing ones as necessary.
#Writephant Q1. Are audiobooks a part of your reading program? Why or why not?
It's time for the #Writephant weekly writer chat! I'm your host today.
Today's theme is Audiobooks, Reading and Writing!
But first, introduce yourself, and tell us how you're doing today. What's
bringing you joy right now?
#WritersCoffeeClub Mar 24: Is there a particular reader you keep in mind when you write?
I'm trying to resist that urge because there are two: the SFF/genre reader who's three steps ahead of me bc they know all the tropes, and the BIGOT sff/genre reader who's deliberately misreading everything I do in order to avoid all the "woke."
So this came out earlier than scheduled (please disregard the postdated publication date since this was supposed to come out next month; it'll soon by updated accdg to my editor). Wrote about rediscovering Makati City, which is fast becoming a hub for local culture and creativity. Took some of the photos as well.
Please check out the article on Smile online (the digital space of Cebu Pacific's in-flight magazine).

#WritersCoffeeClub Mar 23: What’s the most memorable encounter you’ve had with a reader?
When one person in my new writing group announced she'd been reading my stuff all week. It was really encouraging.
