Sandy beach with a rock shelf on either side and small waves coming in like white semi-circles. Zoom in and you'll see the small black wet-suited figures of surfers like seals waiting for their wave. Blue sky with a layer of white fluffy clouds.

Thick clouds building up over Nobbys Head with a smallish ship (a dredger i think) just off the breakwater. Ocean looking calm with not much white.

Pump house. #ocean #swim #MerewetherBaths #NewcastleNSW

The pump house is a small white concrete building with a roundish roof, a bit like a distorted cartoon igloo. It stands on the side of the main pool with a metal railing fence on both sides. Today the sky behind the pump house is cloudy grey and the water below is a dark grey-green.

Two guys in board-shorts standing on the white concrete edge of the main pool. Apart from that horizontal white line, everything is water: an expanse of grey-green in the pool, a white frill of spray from a breaking wave, the distant glimpse of steel grey along the ocean horizon, and grey stormy sky.

Cloudy day at the ocean baths. Taken looking along the wide concrete concourse on the left side (northerly) with a corner of the shallow nearer pool visible as well as a larger share of the main pool and its entry ramp. The red and yellow life saving flag is up with the rounded white pump-house in the background. Low tide has exposed the rocks on the beach to the left. The ocean is grey with a small frill of white breaking further out.
