#Columbia announced Dr. Armstrong’s departure & Shipman’s appointment in an email to the campus community Fri night. The letter thanked Armstrong for her efforts during “a time of great uncertainty for the university” & said Shipman has “a clear understanding of the serious challenges facing our community.”
Shipman, a #journalist w/2 degrees from Columbia, was named acting president & assumed the top job at … an extraordinarily charged moment in American higher #education.

It lets 14–15-year-olds work until 9pm on school nights
They are also working towards less "abc-123" schooling and more job-based "education." I have a feeling it isn't going to be true apprenticeships and will mask labor for education. #Ohio #Education

A senior #State Dept ofcl called the demonstrators it's targeting "Hamasniks" — people the government claims have shown support for the terror group.
More than 300 foreign students have had their #StudentVisas revoked in the 3 weeks "Catch & Revoke" has been in operation, the ofcl said. There are 1.5 million #student #visa-holders nationwide.
"Everyone is fair game," the ofcl said.
