So #windsurf removed a comment on #reddit
The commenter said that when you pay $10 a month you get 2000 credits total. After you run out and you pay $10 you only get 300 credits.
The commenter then asked the #community if it was a #scam.
What are your thoughts?
Joe accidentally tried vibe coding and it was as much of a disaster as you’d imagine. Amolith has also tried it, and does his best to defend the use of LLMs with development. Kevin and Andy are mostly bemused. We all have concerns about the ethics and environmental issues.
This episode has a bit more bad language than usual.
More whale-oil fueled pseudo-"vibe-coding" with Github Copilot tonight. This time having it help me, step by step, create a Space Invaders clone. Still got a weird bug, but we're workin' on it. The game works though: the aliens go side to side, the ship shoots, scores, has lives, etc. All with minimal input. (I gave it the sprites though.)
Video of the session later tonight.
So, I made dumb, terrible, intoxicated hour and a half long video livestream tonight showing how I used Github Copilot Edits to create a fun Three.js space scene with minimal non-conversational typing. (I couldn't use the mic with both VSCode and OBS, so I'm compromising here.)

Sums up my view on #VibeCoding pretty well...
Solving a software problem, on the #vibeCoding scale:
↓ no vibes ↓
• Writing from internalized knowledge
• Reading documentation
• Reading a blog post on the topic
• Lifting from sample code
• Copy/pasting from StackOvervflow
• Adding yet another library dependency
• Using AI to write implementation
↑ nothing but vibes ↑
Added a thing to generate code through Ollama if you set a flag on the command line.
It's... well, a work in progress.
AI-generated code is powerful—but dangerous if used carelessly. Are you “vibe coding” without realizing the risks? Learn why blind trust in AI introduces vulnerabilities and how DevSecOps can help you avoid the hidden traps.

My partner had not heard of the term vibe coding, and their guess was: coding, while drinking mate and listening to drum and bass. And, TBH, that is the "vibe coding" we really need.
Ça va loin le vibe coding :D
Apparemment maintenant on peut créer des applications mobiles fonctionnelles juste en les décrivant ...
How’s them vibes?
(Almost like it’s good to know what you’re doing when you do something.)
