The man currently talking of massive cuts to the Civil Service, massive cuts to social programs and letting the Rich get away with stuff "for Growth" understands what Trump is trying to do.

Yayy, thanks Brexit! /s
But it's not the Rich's fault, it's the fault of 'The Other' and we're all to believe that lie or else!
Let's keep cutting services, letting the Rich avoid Tax and pretend away existential problems like Climate Change by chanting "Growth" over and over again.....
You mean Austerity 2.0 isn't convincing you Protest Voters?
What if Labour whipped some Refugees in the street for you, would you vote Labour then?
"Since Austerity" — as if Austerity ever went away. Have the cuts imposed by George Osborne been recovered? Are those SureStart centres, libraries and youth clubs reopened, restaffed and re-resourced? Are those potholes fixed, hospitals built, schools repaired, school playing fields returned? Are the waiting times for social care services, GP appointments and hospital care back to 2010 figures?
This is Austerity upon Austerity.
Operation Chainsaw to punish the Poor for the crime of existing.
Sure that'll win them votes, everybody loves Austerity, right?
"Punish us, but leave the Rich, they've done nothing wrong!"/s
Trump’s AG Dept has halted 100s of $Ms worth of deliveries to food banks. USDA had previously allocated $500M in deliveries to them for fiscal year 2025 through Emergency Food Asst Prgm. Food bank leaders: many of those orders: CXL -on top of $1B CXL last week for school lunch purchases from loc farms.
Every GOP Senator & Rep must be asked if they support AMERICANSGOING HUNGRY.

Elon Musk’s DOGE is tearing through the US government with disastrous consequences.
But beyond its borders, the extreme right is gearing up to push their own DOGE-inspired austerity campaigns in countries around the world.

This morning there are lots of responses to Labour's proposed cuts to disability benefits, here are just two:
1. As Anna Landre argues, what the Govt. actually needs to do is: 'ask disabled people who want to work what keeps them from doing so & construct targeted policies to address those barriers'...
rather than just assume they know the answers & can make disabled people's decisions about support for them.

"There is still time for the Labour cabinet to act like a cabinet, and for its members to stand up to the Treasury to halt the cuts in benefits to the sick and disabled, and to insist on a more flexible interpretation of the fiscal rules and a limited set of tax measures."

Benefits cuts now? What’s the point of a Labour MP who votes for something so cruel, tin-eared and short-sighted? | John McDonnell | The Guardian

"Rayner raised #Labour MPs’ worries about the depth of the cuts to the #benefits system — which include radical reforms that the former Conservative government blanched at during the “#austerity” period a decade ago.

Apparently a Govt. 'source' has today suggested that Labour MPs making representations (complaining) about the prospective benefits freezes & cuts are (actually) just 'pearl clutching'
If true then this is both ageset & sexist if being used as an insult (its unclear how else it might be intended), and suggests Labour 'managers' have developed a tin ear for any political development outside the confines of the Westminster Village.

"We're celebrating 40 years of (Government not funding social programs) Comic Relief!"
A truly stunning lack of originality, and the hilarity of still pretending to be on the Left, while idolising a Far Right populist who is currently destroying his own country.
And besides, the Tories already tried it 10 years ago.
Well I'm not 'Working People' so fuck me I guess?
And you say it's not 'Ideological', when you erase people like me from Public Life.
Your giddiness at unleashing pain on us is palpable lads, you're creeping us out.

Gaat u dan maar even voor de camera staan mijnheer, dan kijkt de helpdesk-neuroloog wel even op afstand wat er is.
