My one liberal friend who is a little bit soft on trans issues suggested that "we" had alienated too many conservatives over trans people in college athletics, so I suggested that the easy fix was to get athletics the fuck out of education.
He looked at me as if I was Jonathan Swift making yet another modest proposal for feeding the elites. But I was entirely serious.
