So, I would like to #crowdsource a solution to an #ElectricalEngineering #EV problem.
I need to safely split a J1772 split-phase input into two parallel chargers inside a project vehicle. Each charger is capable of 3 kW. How would YOU do it?

That was the last oil leak. I'm tired of having a combustion engine car as a city car and I'm getting an electronic one. After discovering yet another problem with the car today, I went from "we'll get an EV in the distant future" to booking a car inspection.

“HALIFAX — Nova Scotia has become the latest province to scrap electric vehicle rebates for Teslas due to the CEO’s association with the U.S. administration and its trade war on Canada.
The Progressive Conservative government joined with the NDP and Liberal opposition parties in a vote on Friday to drop the automaker from the rebate program, which provides subsidies that range from $2,000 to $3,000 per purchase.”
They keep saying this, but I don’t know if the tech can do it at present, and still yield a car with useful range, especially under spirited driving. Lotus claims their Theory 1 EV will weigh an acceptable 3000 lb, but they’ve had to reach for exotic materials and construction to do it. All these cars are vaporware at this time and I’m not sure I believe they can be made right now.

I would have all the supplies i need for a stable living situation if money wasn't in the way
I lack:
Pneumatic springs for the side solar panels on the bus to prop up solar panels while being wind and weather resistant
Magnets for the side solar panels on the bus
Ubolts for bus suspension
More 12v batteries for more stable power at night (need atleast 2 more for now)
Replacement connectors for escooter
Materials to rebuild the bus into a more livable place (replacement of ceiling, materials for lab/office, materials for kitchen and bathroom, Insulation for inside of bus)
Insulation and heat shielding for 100 gal water tank as well as tank heaters for cold months
Tire change for bus as the retreads are prone to coming off at any point
I will need as much as possible as building it out is intense in every way in this realm
And ill need this boosted everywhere if yall are able to

@drahardja agree. I really dont like that thing. Very inelegant. Apparently it also has an obnoxious rum rum sound box built in to make sound like an old gas car....WTF
On the other hand the old one has that super cool double sided front grill going on...
The front end for the new EV Dodge Charger looks really bad to me. What have they done?
I know the designers are harking back to the classic rectangular grille of vintage Chargers, but…this ain’t it. The running light bar looks like an elongated U recessed into a thick bumper. Besides, the front end is far too thick and bulbuous to pull this design off properly.
I think what turns me off the most is that there is a distinct break in the light bar, right where the clear headlight housing ends. This break irritates me because it makes the light bar look perpetually misaligned, like there were two cheap assembly errors in every front end.
And another thing: the sides of the car lack any design features—it’s just a bulbuous curve all the way. At least the outgoing model recalls the C-shaped indentations of the original.
Anyway, I think Dodge whiffed on this design.
Tesla is recalling its embattled Cybertruck due to an issue with the vehicle's trim. This recall, which covers every single Cybertruck since it went on sale, is the vehicle's 8th. Read more at @Gizmodo. #Tesla #Cybertruck #Recall #ElonMusk #EV #Tech #Technology https://flip.it/oYAYjF

Sitting here in a lineup on #bchwy4 for some road work.
Our 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric just passed 200,000km this week! I got a snap of the odometer at palindrome 199991 which was satisfying. But a sudden snow storm/hail storm prevented me from capturing 200k and 200002 officially, but that's ok.
I just made its *first* appointment to have its brake pads replaced. Amazing longevity on these EVs for brakes. I really should have done it about 10k ago but still.
Great car. Age is starting to catch up a bit.
It needs the EV battery coolant flushed/replaced this year, and some small stuff is wearing:
The passenger side seat heater is on the fritz, and one of the door lock mechanisms is extra loud.
But all things considered, for the amount of kilometres in the past 5 years (really more like 3 due to pandemic), and the addition of the utility trailer, it's doing great! #EV #Kona #Hyundai #Electric #carlife
