But #Hegseth’s guidance is extraordinary in its description of the potential invasion of #Taiwan as the exclusive animating scenario that must be prioritized over other potential dangers—reorienting the vast US #military architecture toward the Indo-Pacific region beyond homeland defense.

During the #Biden admin, the #US military & #NATO had both started to treat #GlobalWarming in the Arctic as a matter of real #military concern. Whether that will continue under #Trump is an open question [is it?]. Even as Trump has tried to erase US-govt action on #ClimateChange, when he talks about #Greenland, he’s tacitly acknowledging that rising temperatures are rapidly changing that part of the world—& US interests there.

Finally #Trump responds to a question about the #Signal group chat, but pivots to #propaganda about the success of his admin & the attack — oh & of course finds a way to blame #Biden.

#Biden-era ofcls said they’re having trouble finding #lawyers willing to defend them. The volunteers & small nonprofits forming the ground troops of the #legal resistance to #Trump admin actions say that the well-resourced #LawFirms that once would have backed them are now steering clear.

#Trump’s EO also revokes a #Biden admin order from 2021 designed to promote #access to voting.

The admin is calling it “the farthest-reaching executive action taken in the history of the Republic to secure our elections.”

After signing, Trump said more #election actions would be taken in the coming weeks.

Indeed, #billionaires are only a tiny fraction, maybe 0.0001%, of the #capitalist class. #Occupy was right, it really is the top 2% (& their supporters) who are the problem.

The " #billionaire class" does not exist. #Capitalists are the problem. Most of the country's capitalists, & the #wealthy #corrupt #politicians who pander to them, are not billionaires.
