This is a big day for Orion's End. I can finally announce that I received funding from Screen Australia to dedicate more of my time to developing the game. It is really exciting.

To celebrate, here's a new trailer showing all new content from the game. The Steam page has also been updated to reflect the current state of progress.

Played my game from a fresh save and collected all the things to see how much content I've made so far...it took me about 21 minutes lol. Granted I'm fast because I know where it all is and am pretty good with movement, but still.

My benchbark is a game that would take me, the dev, at least a couple hours to complete. If I can get enough content to last me that long, it should last a normal player a decent chunk longer. But man...it's kinda insane how little actual playtime all that level modeling and scripting creates.

Slowly making more progress on this level. Been feeling a little less inspired for creating unique challenges this time around, but also accepting the fact that's okay.

Honestly, this project is really trying to be bigger than I can chew on, and I'm forcing myself to let it be smaller and inevitably get the feedback that it's too short or not as engaging as a mainline 3D platformer. And like...yeah, of course it's not going to be. I'm one person. I'd rather it be mediocre and done than never finished.
